How a Mother and Teacher Created the Digital Tools She Needed
My name is Katherine, and Maktub17 was born from two of my most important roles: mother and teacher. As a teacher, I saw how the right chart or visual tool could build confidence and independence in a child.
As a new mom, I found myself needing those same tools at home while juggling routines, planning meals, and trying to create meaningful family moments.
But the resources I found were either too rigid, not editable, or simply uninspiring.
So at my kitchen table between nap times and lesson plans I began creating my own. I combined a teacher’s structure with a mother’s need for flexibility. I didn’t just want a chore chart. I wanted one my child would enjoy. I did not just want a recipe journal. I wanted one that could grow with our family traditions.
